After a week of Storms and local floods, we awoke to a beautiful sunny day.
Not too much of an early start though, meeting with Stuart from Boing Entertainments who was delivering and inflating our rather large bouncy castle!
Arriving soon after, Lisa, Steve and Oliver who helped with placing advertising boards in prominent positions. Den our games maker arrived with a van full. A big thank you to him for making the games and his patience when we couldn’t make up our minds concerning the size of the coconut shy!
Danni our Stirchley Baths volunteer, a real star, made sure everything was where it should be.
Sue laden with many bags and boxes arrived and shortly afterwards Mary, our local councillor and resident. Both got busy setting up the refreshment counter.
Harry and Ian embark on getting the games ready. Chris started to assemble the marquee with a quizzical look on his face.
Beth and Trena a mother and daughter team were a little surprised to find the Tombola stall had been moved from its position the day before.
Soon the Baths was a true hub of excitement, lots of volunteers busily running to and fro.
Our stallholders began to arrive, arranging their tempting produce, crafts and especially the cakes!!
The Stirchley in Bloom stall was manned by Sunanda, Su, Stu and Kerry busily encouraged local residents, traders to dig deep, green up and help Stirchley to blossom!!! Jill with the help of Lynne was on Lucky Dip.
At 12.00 noon Moseley Village Band struck up!! It was the start of a very thrilling and exhilarating programme of events.
We were then treated to a fashion show brought to us by Moso Vintage Fashion a recently opened business in the centre of Stirchley.
Concluded with a shout out to Stirchley. This met with a clamorous round of applause.
Then we introduced Stirchley Youth Theatre, such a talented bunch of youngsters. True Stars of the future.
Followed by Sublime Science who kept their young audience enthralled with the interactive experiments.
DJ Jazzy arrived!!! (Cheeky as ever). True entertainer, the audience loved him.
We welcomed many visitors and it was truly wonderful to see such contented faces.
Until the next time!
